Prue Car's Visit
PrueCarsChequeOn Wednesday 16th. Prue Car arrived on site “bearing gifts”...a BIG CHEQUE from the State Governments Community Building Pro-gram. Although our application was originally for fencing of the site, following the heavy storm that day, the funds will need to be diverted to the repair of the roof. We found leaks we didn’t know we had!!!

Christmas Party
The Big day.  We filled up four tables at the Penrith Bowling Club.  Love those hats.

Glenbrook Markets
GlenbrookFair1-2015PastEvents2015/GlenbrookFair4-2015Our last event for 2015 on Saturday 19th. December, was a stall at the Rotary Markets at Glenbrook.

The day proved to be a very successful day from a fund raising point of view.

The boys were very successful in selling a large range of toys from our toy stock along with a number of Bird Feeders, Horse shoe shaped Hat & Cloak racks, Pot plant holders, along with many other items on the display, even a pair of Gum Boots were sold.

It was great to see a good return for members for the considerable effort that went into making these items during the year.  It was also a bit of a learning curve but now we know what sells and what doesn't.  Guess what? We will be making lots of reindeer next year.

Thanks to Dennis Comber for organising the event and to all those who helped out and even those who came for a look-see.

GlenbrookFair3-2015 (Mobile).pngAnother thing we learn't from the Fair was to be more careful with our signage, as illustrated in this photo.

But for some it was just too much.  After all it was a hot day.

First up, thanks to all who helped out on this April day…. a great effort. The day proved to be one of the busiest days we’ve had for a long time. It was new territory for us and our catering quantities were a bit on the high side, despite that we covered costs and made a healthy profit.

The Shed wishes acknowledge the support and thank FREE STYLE Barbershop and their sponsorship of our stalls.

As previously advised, we were paid a visit by the PCC Health Inspector who was very happy that we complied with ALL the requirements , he also noted on his paperwork that we were ‘well organised’. I’m pleased it looked that way on the outside, because I know we weren’t on the inside ….chaos reined supreme there for awhile. Our success was made possible by the great cooperation shown by everyone who helped out.

Nepean Men’s Shed wish to thank the Quilters for their generous donation and their continued support. (Bob doesn’t come with the quilt)
